We're delighted to welcome Daisy Maisies Appleton and Daisy Maisies Chapelfield to the Storal family.

Located in Widnes, Cheshire, the two nurseries have earned a wonderful reputation for providing high-quality early years education and care, supporting hundreds of local children and families over the years.

Founded by former teacher Jane O'Connor, Daisy Maisies Appleton opened in 2012, followed by Daisy Maisies Chapelfield in 2016. Together, the nurseries provide 145 places for children from baby rooms through to preschool and have become trusted parts of their local communities.

‍

Built with children at their heart

From the beginning, Daisy Maisies has been shaped by a belief in creating environments where children can learn, grow and thrive.

At Appleton, every room has direct access to outdoor learning and play spaces, making it easy for children to enjoy the benefits of outdoor exploration throughout the year. At Chapelfield, thoughtfully designed spaces including a sensory room and outdoor garden help nurture curiosity, creativity and confidence in children of all ages.

The two settings share a commitment to providing warm, nurturing environments where children feel happy, valued and supported as they develop the skills they need for their next steps.

‍

A shared approach

For nursery founder Jane O'Connor, finding the right home for Daisy Maisies was about ensuring the nurseries could continue to flourish while remaining true to what makes them special.

Jane said:

"Storal is an award-winning nursery group, recognised for delivering high-quality early years education and exceptional outcomes for children and families, while preserving the individuality and local identity of every setting.

That commitment to maintaining the unique character of each nursery was an incredibly important factor for us when considering the next chapter for our nurseries, colleagues and families."

At Storal, we know that every nursery has its own story, personality and place within its community. Preserving that individuality is a central part of how we welcome new nurseries into our group.

Looking ahead together

Liv Stones, Acting Chief Executive at Storal, said:

"We're incredibly proud to welcome Daisy Maisies into the Storal fold. The success of both settings is a reflection of the dedicated teams, strong leadership and exceptional environments that have been created over many years.

We deeply value the individuality of every nursery we welcome into the group and are committed to preserving what makes Daisy Maisies so special. At the same time, we look forward to creating opportunities to learn from one another and continue delivering remarkable experiences for children and families."

Families will continue to enjoy the bright, inspiring environments that have made Daisy Maisies such a respected part of the Widnes community, while colleagues will benefit from being part of a wider group committed to supporting professional development, wellbeing and exceptional outcomes for children.

We're excited for what lies ahead and look forward to supporting the children, families and colleagues of Daisy Maisies as part of the Storal family.
