We had an unforgettable evening at the Nursery World Awards 2025, and we’re so excited to share the wonderful news with our Storal community. The awards are always a special moment for the early years sector, but this year felt extra meaningful thanks to the amazing recognition our colleagues received.
🏆 Kate Bickley — Outstanding Contribution Award
Kate was celebrated for her incredible impact on early years education. She leads our national apprenticeship programme and has supported hundreds of apprentices and colleagues over her two‑decade career - so this award couldn’t be more deserved.
🏆 Kelly Byrne — Operations Manager of the Year
Kelly’s passion and hands‑on support for our nurseries make a huge difference every day, and we’re thrilled to see her recognised on a national stage.
🏆 Glebe Farm Nursery School — Highly Commended (Working with Parents)
A big cheer for our team at Glebe Farm, who were recognised for their brilliant partnership with families - something at the heart of everything we do at Storal.
Several of our teams and colleagues were also shortlisted this year, and we’re equally proud of them:
🌟 Cherry Tree Nursery School (Warrington) — Finalist, Inclusive Practice Award
Recognised for their commitment to creating a space where every child feels valued and included.
🌟 Natalie Fern — Nursery Manager of the Year
Representing Storal Children 1st St Peter & St Paul Nursery School in Chesterfield, Natalie’s leadership and enthusiasm placed her among the top managers in the country.
🌟 Kelly Byrne — Finalist, Operations/Area Manager of the Year
Alongside her category win, Kelly also featured in the shortlist - a lovely acknowledgement of her hard work this year.
🌟 Kate Bickley — Shortlisted before winning Outstanding Contribution
