At Storal we believe leadership is a practice that empowers others, builds community and elevates everyday moments. This September, we brought together our Deputy Managers for the Deputy Leadership Conference 2024: an event designed to connect, inspire and support our leadership community across the nurseries.
Over two days of focused sessions and collaborative activities, our Deputies explored what it means to lead with both heart and purpose. They examined how consistent, meaningful conversations - even when challenging - can shape team culture and children’s experiences. They gained insight into balancing operational excellence and commercial awareness with our core mission of nurturing children’s early learning.
A key theme was the power of connection: connection between Deputies, connection with senior leadership, and connection back into each nursery. Time together enabled idea-sharing, reflection and fresh perspectives on how everyday leadership makes a difference.
Another highlight was reinforcing that leadership at Storal is about enabling each colleague and child to thrive. From compliance frameworks to strategic growth, our Deputies left with renewed clarity on how their role supports both our values and our quality standards.
